YAY, CHINA! YAY, IOC!
Turns out the Chinese gymnasts were old enough, after all.
Shocking.
The IOC, long known for it's "fair and balanced" approach, makes a decision that won't piss off what has become the largest viewership market in the world. And the IOC makes a decision that won't piss off a country that just sold it's soul to make things perfect.

Today's news comes with the caveat that the IOC will continue to look into the ages of two athletes from the 2000 games. And, most likely, the IOC will find that those athletes were too young.
That does two things:
- It gives the IOC enough of a finding to appease the crazies who need some sort of resolution; and
- It (kind of) shows the IOC has some sort of a backbone.
The only problem with that -- outside of the fact that the athletes from 2000 are now busy with their senior years of high school -- is that it simply doesn't matter. No one cares about the 2000 games, just as barely anyone still cares about the 2008 games.
On an up note -- with the Chinese gymnastics coaches now off the hook for looking after their athletes -- there's a huge demand for baby sitters in China.
